Marry me!

This weekend I attended my first Thai wedding. A colleague of mine, Dan, married his Thai girlfriend of 2 years, Dtom. Well, I actually only attended the reception because only closest friends and family attend the ceremony. And a good thing I wasn't invited because it takes place at 7:30 in the morning outside in the blazing heat! Some of the highlights from the reception include...

- a beautiful bride and handsome groom
- free flowing beer and wine
- a cute story of how Dan and Dtom met
- a lady boy show

I heart lady boy shows. 

Conveniently, their wedding fell on a 4-day weekend so my friends and I took a mini-vacation to Rayong. We enjoyed eating poo on the beach every day (poo is crab in Thai, so don't laugh okay??), swimming in the water, playing cards, and catching up with our friend Jim who was visiting from Hong Kong.

While I was doling out Euchre spankings with my cards partner, Kirk, my life partner, Ryan, was playing in his end-of-season softball tournament. Unfortunately Ryan's team was the spanking receiver (spankee?) in the tournament.  However, he did win this season's golden glove for best infielder in the Bangkok Int'l Softball League!
