Life Mottos

A little update about the ever emerging personalities of our little people summed up in a life motto.

Tyler - A place for everything and everything in its place. 

This guy is tidy. I mean, he's not quite Grandpa Mike tidy status yet, but he's up there. He cleans up when he's done with toys. He calls us in the middle of the night to fix his blanket because it's not covering him up just so. He brings his finished dinner plate to the kitchen without getting distracted along the way. When we're cleaning up with a broom or rag, he wants to take over.

Right now Tyler's really into: animals, kicking a soccer ball, being the fastest kid on his scooter, and telling his siblings to follow the rules. 

I've gotta tidy up all this sand! 

Owen - Throw your hands up in the air, wave 'em like you just don't care.

Owen is a free spirit. While playing with a toy, he'll randomly throw it up in the air as if he's thinking "Wooo hooo!" and walk away. (Fortunately, Tyler will come up behind him and clean it up.) He loves music, and he frequently asks to "be the DJ," meaning he will pick the songs on Spotify. He bops his head side to side all the time. We were quite concerned about this so we even took him to the doctor, and he concluded that since all his other development is normal, it's just what he does. I think he's got a song in his head all the time and he's just dancing away with his head.

Right now Owen's really into: playing ball, down dog and head stands, reading, and singing the Cal fight song.

These boys are so sweet together.

Maddy - There's nothing in life that a princess dress can't fix.

Thanks to all her grandmas, Madeline has a serious collection of princess dresses. One morning we heard the click click click of princess heels at 6am before Snow White came into our room and crawled into bed. Sometimes there are multiple costume changes before the day is done.

Right now Maddy is really into: the beach, crafts, playing her ukulele, and losing teeth.
