My fair lady!
Bangkok is built on a marsh and this creates many problems as the land sinks and buildings and streets constantly need repair. Our friends Gretchen and Tim rent a house with a second floor that comes precariously close to becoming a ground floor. They've spent several months complaining to the landlords (aka the priests that run our school). And in the longstanding Thai tradition of commitment to excellence, the Fathers responded by putting in two metal beams. Yup, that 'il hold her. The screw that sticks out at eye level is an added bonus.
