One night in Bangkok

...and the world's your oyster...Ah, how I do love that song by Murray Head.

I am currently in the City of Angels chaperoning a team from our school at the Southeast Asia Math Competition. Don't laugh, it's totally fun and the kids are a breeze to supervise.

We are staying quite far from our old stomping grounds, but I did have a chance to catch up with some old friends over a meal of delicious Thai food. I do miss the cuisine here. It's flavorful, fresh, and sometimes spicy, and it never leaves you feeling heavy or bloated afterwards. Occasionally, however, it may leave you with a case of Bangkok belly. But not this time (fingers crossed, I haven't left yet!). Here are some pics from our reunion:

Checking out the fish in the Chao Phraya.

A great friend and colleague. I miss this girl!
And how cute is this? Little Ayden is saying hello to you in Thai. I love farang babies who can wai.
