Madeline has graduated from worming across the room to full on crawling! Well, most of the time. Every once in a while she regresses, collapsing onto her chest and slithering. She enjoys crawling through Daddy's homemade blanket tunnels, getting into the umbrella basket, and using her baby-dar to locate any and all paper products in the room so she can eat them.
May was a special month because it was my first Mother's Day! I was fortunate enough to celebrate with my daughter
and mother.

Roxana the Fox held down the fort (along with some help from Auntie Janeth) while Daddy went on a school trip and I went to Washington, DC for a conference. Madeline loved having Abuela to spoil her, and she barely noticed we were gone!
While in the US I was able to spend a couple of nights with my childhood bestie Joanne and her beautiful family. We went for a hike in the woods, feasted on yummy barbecue, and played a few intense games of Qwirkle with the kids.

Here I am with my LearnZillion team. Many of us will be writing units on
proportional reasoning, hence the "P" we are holding. |

We are happy to report that Madeline's red cheeks are no longer red! We battled with this rash/eczema/dry skin/whoknowswhat for the last few months. But it seems to be gone, at least for now, and we are all breathing a sigh of relief. Well, Mom and Dad are, but Madeline was never bothered.
