Saying Good-bye

This is our last night in London. Wow, the year has flown by! I remember the first day we moved into our flat, first day of work at ASL, first trip through Primrose Park, watching our first play at the local theater. We have absolutely LOVED our time in London and hope we can return in the future. Here are the things we will miss:

1) FRIENDS &COLLEAGUES. Of course!

What better way to celebrate a birthday than with a meter of pizza?
Happy birthday, Mario!
We love parks!
2) BEAUTY. This city is just gorgeous on a sunny day. When it's cloudy (almost always), it's also pretty neat. The architecture, the parks, the river....we have loved living in a place that is so pleasing to the eye.
The sun came out...had to capture it....
...because most of the time the weather is like this.
Ryan loves the British summer!
Tower Bridge in the background. Beautiful!
3) DIVERSITY & CULTURE. Walk down any street and you will see and hear people from all over the world. It's incredible how many different nationalities are represented here. Also, this year alone we saw six plays and saw many exhibitions at the various museums!

4) BRITISH FOOD. Just kidding. But we have loved the incredible variety of top-notch restaurants, the high quality meats and dairy, and the availability of organic fruits and veggies.

5) VISITORS. Good news....you can make this our favorite thing in Hong Kong, too!

6) SPORT. Laugh now, Romney-ites.  Running through the park, playing softball, being the winning quarterback in a Turkey Bowl....this is a fit city!

I'm not sure what Ryan's doing in this picture. But he wants you to
know that his team did win the Turkey Bowl.

7) THAI PEOPLE. I know, random right? Ryan and I both ran into our former students from Thailand on two separate occasions.

Encounters in the tube station.
Thanks for an outstanding year, London! Hope to see you again soon!

Hey guys, wish I could have been there last night to say goodbye at Ye Olde! It'll be waiting for you next summer. As my last birth month wish (it's July 31), I wish you all the best in Hong Kong, the next setting for a jumping pic. I hope to finally be in one, to be taken in April. Until then, fare thee well, as they say in London. You know how the Brits talk.
