A Winton Wonderland

We recently had our friends, the Wintons, come out to visit us for 10 days. Ryan and I went to college with Matt and Ramina, and Ramina was my roommate and big sister extraordinaire in Alpha Phi. If you're thinking that a trip to see the Kirchners is too much (too far, too expensive, too difficult), just keep in mind they came with 3 - count 'em - three kids! That's what I call adventurous!

London is a great city for kids. The sidewalks are wide enough for prams and there are many parks to visit.
Here we are at the top of Primrose Hill.
Leyla and Nineveh love their little brother!
And what's not to love? My fairy god-son is a cutie!
A river cruise down the Thames to Greenwich.

Matt and Elias with Big Ben in the background.
Preparing for the Olympics!
A day trip to Kew Gardens on a surprisingly sunny and humid day.

Leyla & Nineveh on the super swing.
These swings are for KIDS, Ryan!
Ryan and I on the canopy walk.
We love Kew Gardens!
So does Elias!

We also took a day trip to Windsor Castle.

This type of flag means that The Queen was in the castle!

A moat was designed but  never filled in with water. There is, however, a
lovely garden around the castle. Those nasty thorns on the rosebushes
are sure to keep out invaders!

Many thanks to the Wintons for a wonderful visit!
