Madeline - Month 3

Madeline fits into our lives so well that it's hard to believe she's only been with us for 3 months. She is an absolute joy, and we look forward to seeing what new things she will do each day.

She loves story time with Daddy.

What's going to happen next? I'm on the edge of my seat!

Madeline loves people, and she especially loves a good party where she can be passed around and sleep on many shoulders.

The life of the party. 

We also love Madeline's crazy hair. After this latest hair style she was dubbed "K-Pop" by our friend Trent.

Ryan ran his fingers through Madeline's hair after a bath. It stayed
this way for three days. No joke.

We went to the library and got a book that seemed especially written for Mads.

She also loves to look at herself in the mirror. I'm not sure if she recognises that the girl in the glass is actually her, but she smiles at the cutie with the wild hair looking back at her.

Because we live so far away, Skyping is a regular part of our day. She seems to like engaging with the person on the other end of the iPad....either that or she is just mesmerised by screen time. Grandma Barbar took some screenshots while we were on Skype.

Madeline is finally wearing something besides a onesie! Because of the Hong Kong summer she lived in onesies for the past 3 months. Now sometimes I get to dress her! 

Madeline has started laughing! I caught her first giggle on video.

This past month we've been working on routines in our house. My type A personality loves the structure, but we are still working on perfecting it.  Fortunately Madeline was blessed with Ryan's personality, so she is patient when we don't get it quite right. And according to other parents it really doesn't matter because once we think we've got it down, it changes.
