Merry Sis-Mas, Part 2: Hong Kong Edition

As you may have guessed from the title of this post, my sister, Ashley, paid us a visit in Hong Kong this season! This is the second time she has visited us in Asia during the holidays (for a recount of the first Sis-Mas, click here.) She was accompanied again by her "friend" Mike, who has been recently upgraded to fiance status. Big congrats, Ash and Mike!

Before their holiday visit, our little family of 3 had some good Christmas cheer on our own. We attended the CDNIS Staff Family Christmas Party where Madeline met Santa for the first time.

Santa's little helper.
Santa's little helper, Elvis style.
Mom is super excited...How does Santa always
know exactly what we want? Mads seems
thoroughly unimpressed.

Once Ash and Mike arrived, there was no rest for the jet lagged. They arrived at 7am and at 7pm they were attending the CDNIS Staff Christmas Party with no nap in between! The next day, we played in the T-Wolves 4 on 4 volleyball tournament. We did well considering one of our players bowed out due to his wife having a baby the day before, I could only attend 5 of the 9 games due to feeding Madeline, and Ashley's legs turned into tree trunks by game 7 of the tournament. Hats off to Mike and Ashley for pushing through their fatigue and jumping into all of our activities!

Fortunately, they were rewarded with a relaxing getaway to Phuket for 6 nights. We treated ourselves to the fancy Amari hotel where highlights included an awesome breakfast buffet, a beautiful pool, and excellent weather.

Staring at the waves.
Family time at the pool.
This little girl loves the ocean!
Chillin' with Aunt Ashley.
Whoa man, these sunglasses are a trip!
Back in Hong Kong, we had a few days to check out the sights. We spent a day at The Peak where the fog dampened our views but not our spirits!

The skies cleared the next day and we headed over to Stanley for lunch, a view, and some shopping.

You can tell Mads is totally impressed.

We took Mike and Ash to Victoria Park.

Madeline recently found her feet.
And her thumb.
Toes, thumb, whatever.

We were so sad to see Mike and Ashley leave. Madeline clearly loves her aunt.

Thanks for an excellent visit, Ash and Mike!
